Ariahs Edibles is the birth child of myself; Ariah Desilets, and is nestled in the heart of the Kootenay Mountains in Glade BC. I am originally from Edmonton, and it was there twenty three years ago that my family and I were searching for a way to support organic farming. My sisters and I decided to open a bakery, calling it Manna Foods, and used only whole, organic ingredients. We based our recipes on our Mother Jean's and Grandma Irene's baking and cooking that inspired us growing up.
After four years of running Manna Foods the family wanted to experience a lifestyle that would further support our intentions. We sold our bakery and moved to Nelson BC. Thirteen years ago, I struck out on my own creating a commercial kitchen space with the intention of sharing my products with a larger market.
I grew up with many food allergies and sicknesses. This has made me sensitive to food and health related issues. Thanks to supportive parents and a venturesome spirit I have overcome my allergies and, in my personal life, I am very particular about my food choices.
My goal is to provide a healthy alternative in quickly prepared meals for individuals and families who work hard, and whose time in the kitchen is limited. It is important to me, and is my hope, that customers can come to trust my products to be healthy and wholesome alternatives to their own home cooking.
Enjoy!
Ariah Desilets

Growing up Ariah always fed us the best foods. I remember going to school with lunches that included spanakopita, tofu burgers, and popcorn with nutritional yeast. My friends would always ask me to share, and Ariah made sure I always had enough. There were even two years when we were on a raw food diet, and my lunches were still the best in class.
I didn't realize how lucky I was until I moved to Edmonton in 2001. Cooking for myself gave me a new appreciation for the food choices Ariah had made. When she decided to take her products to market, I wholeheartedly supported her (and begged for care packages!).
After living in the city for ten years and gaining experience managing people and businesses, I decided to move back to BC and apply this knowledge to something I had begun to care deeply about. I joined Ariah in her quest to provide healthy food in a sustainable and socially conscious company. I believe passionately from my own experience that just because you're busy doesn't mean you have to sacrifice health and flavour in your food choices.
